Our seafood comes from local harvesters, many of whom have been fishing their local waters for generations.

One of our harvesters, Shane Volberding, started out fishing for yellowtail on his jet ski for fun, but quickly became one of the only commercial mackerel fishermen on the west coast. Learn more about Shane and his mackerel as we spent a day with him on the water.

Our seafood comes from local harvesters, many of whom have been fishing their local waters for generations.

Shane's mackerel is unlike any other. Despite being traditionally viewed as bait, Shane’s meticulous care and attentive treatment of his mackerel — including the cleaning and inspection of each individual fish — has turned it into an ingredient that Michelin-starred restaurants demand.

Our harvesters prioritize a quality-over-quantity mindset. It ensures that there will be plentiful fish for years to come and enables us to sell fresh and in-season seafood.

This does not just mean we work directly with our Harvesters. This means that our Harvesters are actually packing your product. So when you order your Maine scallops or Santa Barbara Uni from us, they ship directly from our Harvesters in Maine and Santa Barbara.

We don’t just work on one-coast. We work with Harvesters from around the country and ship directly to you wherever you are. Don’t believe us? If we can ship fresh seafood to Aspen, we can ship directly to you!

We honor the fish and the ocean because not all seafood is equal. Fresh is not always what it seems and we work closely with our Harvesters to ensure that you receive the freshest product. More often than not, your fish is probably still swimming when you order with us.

The ocean is like a garden. Year-round availability of a species often comes with drawbacks, which is why we work with in-season products harvested the right way like hook and line and diver-caught. As we like to say; there are plenty of fish in the sea and we strive to bring you the best of what is available, today.

1. Why should I place a wholesale order with E-Fish?

Your seafood is likely still swimming when you order it. We honor the fish and the ocean because not all seafood is equal. Fresh is not always what it seems to be in local markets. At E-fish, we literally know when our harvesters are returning to port, and we are selecting delivery dates around that schedule.

2. Do you ship to restaurants?

We ship to restaurants all over the country, typically within a day of the seafood being harvested. We also ship to private chefs, specialty retailers, and other distributors.

3. How can I setup a wholesale account?

You can sign up for our wholesale product and price mailing list on this page. We only sell what’s fresh and in-season, so the seafood available for purchase changes regularly. If you’d like to speak with us, you can also schedule a virtual call with one of our sales representatives via our Calendly scheduler. 4. What do you have on offer?

Our seafood offerings change based on what’s fresh and in-season. Wild and fresh seafood have seasons and year-round availability of a species often comes at the detriment of quality or the environment. We inspire our consumers to explore seasonal tastes from the entire ocean, all-year-round.
